Materials you’ll need
- Tissue paper in white, black and orange. I recycle my tissue paper and then iron it on a warm setting (no steam) to bring it back to life.
- Lollipops such as Chupa-Chups or flat lollipops
- Stick glue
- Paper and a printer
- Scissors.
Instructions to make your own Lollipop Ghosts
- Take your tissue paper and cut it into 15cm (6”) pieces. I like to use 2 pieces for each lollipop.
- Cut out the collars and faces from the printables pages.
- Place a lollipop into the centre of the tissue paper and pinch in sides. If your tissue paper has a shiny side, place that face up so the outside of your wrapper will be matte.
- Decide on where your front or ‘face’ will be, usually the flatest side. Some of the designs are meant to be ‘upside down’ (eg the Jack O’Lanterns and the Frankenstein).
- Take a collar and glue on the back, then attach it around the tissue paper ‘neck’ and line up edges as much as possible. You can trim it later once the glue has dried.
- Glue the back of a face and attach it to the front of your lollipop, smoothing down creases as much as possible.
- Let the glue dry and trim the collar as needed.
That’s it! Once the glue dries you can add the spooky lollipops to your treat bags.
