Miniature Books – DIY Printables in 1:12 and 1:6 Scale

Miniature books are one of those tiny details that instantly bring a dollhouse or diorama to life. Whether you’re styling a cozy 1:12 scale book nook or creating a modern 1:6 scale study, printable miniature books are an easy, affordable way to add personality and realism to your display. They’re also incredibly tactile and a little bit addictive to make – who can resist fanning those tiny pages over and over? I know I can’t!

I’ve put together a collection of free printable miniature book resources, starting with a gorgeous set of six romance novels that coordinate perfectly with each other.

The set is easy to download and print in PDF format, for both A4 and US letter paper sizes. It comes in sizes to suit 1:6 and 1:12 scale dollhouses, though you can print the PDFs in a size that suits you. For example, if you want 1:24 scale, you could print the 1:12 size PDFs at 50% scale.

As a bonus, the files include templates to make blank inner pages at the right size for the covers.

You can choose to print the covers on matte photo paper for a professional finish, or print them on normal copy paper and apply adhesive tape before cutting for a more economical method.
